About Me.
I am an experienced Estates Manager and Education consultant with more than 20 years’ leadership in facilities, property and estate management across public, academy and independent education settings.
Based on the Isle of Wight, my work over the past eight years has extended work across the South Coast, supporting schools, trusts and education organisations with estate strategy, organisational change, operational improvement and compliance governance.
I specialises in modern estate management, asset-informed estates intelligence, predictive maintenance and the design of Planned Preventative Maintenance and compliance systems. My work brings together estate data, operational knowledge, statutory responsibilities and organisational priorities to support resilient, efficient and investment-ready education estates.
I have been privileged to contribute as an invited speaker at Westminster Insight, the Diocese of Southwark and other professional conferences and forums over the last 12 months, addressing artificial intelligence, technology integration and modern estate-management approaches. I am a former member of the Department for Education’s (2025) GEMS group and current member of the Trust Network.
I have seen how educational success and estate performance travel together. My philosophy is simple: a well-managed estate should support education, rather than compete with it for resources. After more than 20 years working in education estates, I’ve seen how good information, sensible planning and timely decisions can save money, reduce risk and prevent small problems becoming expensive ones.
My mission is to help schools make the very best use of the estates they already have - creating sufficient educational environments that are safe, efficient, sustainable and manageable, both now and for the future. It’s about understanding what genuinely needs attention, making the best use of limited resources and giving school leaders the confidence to make informed decisions about their buildings and grounds.
If your school or trust is spending too much time reacting to estate problems, struggling to see where the biggest risks sit, or facing difficult decisions about maintenance, compliance and future investment, you may simply need some independent support and a clearer picture of where you stand. You may already have good systems in place and want confidence that you are heading in the right direction. Either way, you do not need to have everything organised before getting in touch. My role is to help you understand what you have, identify what matters most and turn that into practical, manageable next steps.
If any of this sounds familiar, get in touch and let's have a straightforward conversation about your estate and where I can help.
